How to Use the Workbench
Follow these steps to run a forensic signature analysis and generate an evidentiary report.
Enter Case Metadata
Fill in the case title, reference number, examiner name, and document sources. This data is embedded into the PDF report for chain-of-custody tracking.
Upload Specimen Signatures
Add one or more genuine reference signatures. You can drag-and-drop image files or paste directly from the clipboard. For best results, use 3–5 high-resolution specimens written by the known author.
Upload the Questioned Signature
Add the signature under examination. Ensure the image is clear and well-lit. The workbench accepts PNG, JPG, and WEBP formats.
Run the Analysis
Click 'Run Forensic Analysis'. The AI engine compares the questioned signature against the specimens across four biometric axes:
- Slant analysis — baseline tilt and stroke angle consistency
- Proportions — relative height and width ratios of character groups
- Tremor & hesitation — micro-irregularities indicating rushed or forged strokes
- Ocular markers — tremor hotspots, loop deviations, and exit tapers mapped visually
Review the Diagnostic Output
The right panel displays the congruence score, a detailed narrative, and an interactive overlay of ocular markers on the questioned signature. Use these findings to support your expert opinion.
Export the PDF Report
Click 'Export PDF' to generate an evidentiary document containing:
- Case metadata and examiner credentials
- SHA-256 hash of the questioned signature image
- Biometric metric tables and narrative conclusion
- Chain-of-custody QR code for verification
Important Notes
- This tool is for investigative reference only — it does not replace certified forensic examiner testimony.
- All analysis is performed server-side; images are not stored permanently.
- For highest accuracy, ensure specimen and questioned images are captured under similar conditions (resolution, lighting, pen color).
